Hello! I’m Dr. Barb LoFrisco. I am a couples and individual counselor in the Carrollwood area of Tampa, in private practice since 2008. For your convenience I have a variety of hours available, including some weeknights and all day Saturday. If you are ready to do the work, multiple research studies indicate that counseling is helpful, so you are in the right place!

Helping individuals and couples overcome issues such as anxiety, depression, intimacy and more  is my passion and purpose in life.  I have never regretted leaving Corporate America in 2004 to pursue my dream of becoming a counselor.  I learn and grow daily, and it is an honor when people allow me into their lives.

Because I believe individual issues can affect relationships and vice versa, I am licensed and experienced in both individual and couples therapy. I am proud to be part of a small segment of therapists trained in systemic theory (to help understand relationship issues better) and an even smaller (tiny!) segment trained in sex therapy.
