 Sexual Counseling

Wonder if you are "normal"?

Having sexual issues in your relationship?

Have concerns or questions about your sexuality?

Issues or questions about sex or intimacy are very common and nothing to be ashamed or embarrased about.  According to the Mayo Clinic, about 1/3 of all adults have a question or concern about their sexuality.

Sexual counseling can help.  Sexual counseling is talk therapy that provides information, education and/or help with communication and intimacy issues.  There is no physical contact with your sexual counselor.  If you are in a relationship, it is strongly recommended that you come to counseling with your significant other.  In relationships, sexual issues are couple issues.

Types of issues that sexual counseling can address:

  • lack of desire
  • difficulty acheiving orgasm
  • premature ejaculation
  • erectile dysfunction
  • concern about sexual practice: "am I normal?"

Possible outcomes:

  • increased intimacy
  • more satisfying sex
  • less anxiety about sex
  • more positive self-image
